Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Begins to Take Shape

A New Chapter in the Lands Between

Elden Ring, the epic fantasy RPG from FromSoftware, is set to receive its first major expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. Players will embark on a brand-new adventure in an uncharted land, expanding upon the lore and challenges of the original game.

Unlocking the Shadow of the Erdtree

Access to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC requires completing certain key steps within the base game. Players must first reach Altus Plateau, either through natural progression or by completing quests related to Ranni the Witch. From there, they will need to defeat two formidable bosses: Radahn, the Starscourge, and Morgott, the Omen King.

Once these conditions are met, players can gain access to the Pureblood Knights Medal, an item that unlocks the portal to the Shadow of the Erdtree. The medal can be obtained by completing a portion of White Mask Varre's questline.
